Apologies for inability to attend were reported from Councillors Cunningham, D. Dodds, Hartley, Humphrey, and Kyle.
World Transplant Games and World Police and Firefighter Games
The Committee considered the undernoted report in relation to the hosting of the above-mentioned events.
After discussion, during which the Events Manager highlighted the potential benefits to be derived by the City in hosting the events, the Committee adopted the recommendations.
Tall Ships Trans-Atlantic Challenge 2009
The Committee considered the undernoted report.
After discussion, the Committee adopted the recommendations and agreed, in view of the significant contributions made by Councillors McCann and Stoker in the formulation of the City's bid, that they be nominated as the Council's representatives on the Special Purposes Vehicle. In addition, the Committee noted that a copy of the Business Plan providing details of the event was available on the Members' Portal. (This should be requested under Freedom of Information)
