SPECIAL MEETING OF COMMUNITY AND RECREATION (PARKS AND CEMETERIES SERVICES) SUB-COMMITTEE

Members present: Councillor Rodgers (Chairman); and Councillors Hartley, Kirkpatrick and McGimpsey.

Strangford Avenue Playing Fields – Proposed New Pavilion

Pursuant to the Sub-Committee’s decision of 12th June, the Members undertook a site visit to the Strangford Avenue Playing Fields in order to meet with the residents of the area to discuss their concerns in relation to the proposed new pavilion at the site, traffic management within the area and the potential for increased levels of anti-social behaviour in the vicinity.

After discussion, the Chairman (Councillor Rodgers), on behalf of the Sub‑Committee, thanked the residents for their attendance and reported that the matter would be discussed further by the Parks and Cemeteries Services Sub-Committee at a future meeting.^when?
