MEETING OF POLICY AND RESOURCES (MEMBERS) SUB-COMMITTEE
Members present: Councillor Lavery (Chairman); and Councillors M. Browne, Hendron and McCarthy.
(Councillors Patterson and Smyth attended within half an hour of the commencement of the meeting but subsequent to the business having been concluded.)
In attendance: Mr. L. Steele, Head of Committee and Members’ Services; Mr. R. Boyd, Members’ Support Officer; and Mrs. J. Lilley, Members’ Liaison Officer.
Apologies
Apologies for inability to attend were reported from Councillors Kelly, McCann and Ní Chuilín.
Minutes
The minutes of the meeting of 16th January, which had been printed and circulated, were taken as read and signed as correct.
Councillors’ Allowances
The Head of Committee and Members’ Services submitted for the Sub Committee’s consideration a report in respect of the apportionment of Special Responsibility allowance. A copy of the report is set out hereunder.
After discussion, it was
- Moved by Councillor M. Browne,
- Seconded by Councillor Hendron,
That the recommendation contained in the report be adopted.
On a vote by show of hands three Members voted for the proposal and one against and it was accordingly declared carried.
